Cynthia McGurren and Mike Sheffer

Message: Mr Roman,

Cynthia and I would like to thank you and the staff at the Bank and Vault for making the surprise party for our daughter’s 21st birthday on Aug 28, 2010 a huge success. I was impressed with your personalized touch in  helping us architect the surprise as well as making it happen. The menu selections for the dinner party were excellent and  complemented by great service. The transition from the dinner to nightclub was seamless and helped us integrate the next wave of U/R friends. Overall it was a huge success, our daughter was completely surprised, the party train thought the place was “way cool” and as the parents, we were quite pleased. We received many heart felt thanks from our daughter and her  party crowd.

So thanks for the memory and I’d highly recommend the Bank and Vault for anyone interested in great food in a unique atmosphere.

Richmonders used to flee downtown for the suburbs come 6 p.m. But these days, the capital’s young politicos gather at Bank, a century-old bank that’s been transformed into a swank night spot, complete with a bar made with the building’s original marble, a martini lounge in the old president’s office and a cavernous downstairs club, Vault.

Hello Maegan,

Thank you for your kind words.

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the service, food, and atmosphere from all of our guests. I thank you for all of your help in planning this event and making sure it went off without a hitch. Many of our guests are from the Richmond area and had not even heard of your restaurant – they have all said that The Bank will now be on their “hot list” for places to dine.

Thanks again,

Dear Mr. Roman,

I would like you to know how Maegan, Trey, and the staff at Bank helped to make my husband and me the coolest parents ever. On Friday, July 24, we held our son’s rehearsal dinner at Bank. It was quite a large group – 96 people – for cocktails and dinner and could very easily have become unmanageable. But, Maegan and the staff did an excellent job of keeping things moving, the food was excellent, the bartenders were great and everyone had the best time. The wedding party itself was very large and so there was quite a large number of young adults. They were so impressed with Bank that my husband and I suddenly became the best parents ever. Both families were impressed as well and a good time was had by all. The young people (and some old) stayed after the dinner and invited more friends to come downtown and enjoy Vault. That made the evening even more special.

I believe it is important for you, as owner of Bank, to know this, and I told Maegan anytime she or Trey need a reference to give to someone who is planning a party, that I would be happy to oblige.

Many thanks again to Bank and its staff for making this very special evening such an overwhelming success.
